Austin Tests The New Hypersport Car In The UK

Our trip started with a long-overdue reunion with our good friends Tony and Sandro from Racing With Autism UK. Over a full English breakfast, we had the chance to catch up, share plenty of stories and reflect on everything they have accomplished. It was wonderful to see how the Racing With Autism message continues to grow beyond North America.

One of the major highlights of the trip was an unforgettable visit with Revolution Race Cars factory and then a test day at Cadwell Park.

Thanks to our crew chief and engineer Steffen, Austin was given an opportunity that I don't think either of us will ever forget. Revolution welcomed us with incredible hospitality and gave Austin the chance to drive some very special machinery.

First, Austin climbed into the Revolution 500 EVO, essentially a much more powerful and higher-downforce version of the Revolution he races in North America. After getting out, his reaction pretty much summed it up: “What an absolute beast!”

Then came something even more special.

Austin became only the second driver to get behind the wheel of Revolution’s brand-new Hypersport. He initially went out for a few careful laps to get a feel for the car, but when he returned to the pits he had a huge smile on his face and declared it “the best handling car I have ever driven!”

He loved it so much that he managed to convince everyone to let him have another go after lunch!

As Austin's dad, there was another side to the day that meant even more to me. Watching a manufacturer like Revolution trust Austin with brand-new, incredibly sophisticated race cars was a very proud moment. It was another reminder of just how far he has come and how much respect he has earned through his ability behind the wheel.

Trips like this are also a reminder that Racing With Autism has become about so much more than racing. What started as a father trying to help his son find his place in the world has grown into something that has taken us around the world, allowed us to meet incredible people and, most importantly, given Austin a platform to show others what is possible.

None of that happens without you.

After everything Austin has accomplished this season, including becoming the 2026 Revolution Cup North America Champion, this UK trip was another pretty special chapter in an already unbelievable year.

From Austin, Jennifer and myself, thank you for continuing to believe in what we are doing and for being part of this journey.

We still have some unfinished business ahead of us this year, and we can't wait to see what comes next.

Thank you, as always, for being part of Team Austin and Racing With Autism.
