Good morning everyone!
Right now, I should be somewhere on a long, soul-crushing drive to Daytona International Speedway for the next round of the Revolution Cup.
For years, Austin has dreamed of racing on the Daytona road course, and this was finally going to be the year it happened. Registration was paid, the hotel was booked, flights were confirmed, and all systems were go!
That was until Friday evening when I received a call from the Revolution Cup promoter informing us that the event had been cancelled.
Through the first three race weekends this season, the Revolution Cup has competed alongside SVRA and Racing America as a support series on their race weekends. For Daytona, however, the sanctioning body was World Racing League.
For reasons unknown to us, overall entry numbers for the WRL weekend were significantly lower than anticipated. Despite the Revolution Cup field being nearly full, the organizers made the decision to cancel all sprint races, including ours.
As you can imagine, Austin and the entire team were incredibly disappointed. Daytona has been high on Austin's bucket list for a very long time, and having that opportunity disappear at the last minute was tough to take.

So now what?
Well, if there is one thing that might ease the disappointment of missing Daytona, it would be getting the chance to race at one of the most legendary venues in motorsport.
In a remarkable turnaround and on very short notice, the Revolution Cup organizers have rescheduled the event to an even more iconic destination.
Austin and the Racing With Autism team will now be heading to the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway on June 18–21!
To say we're excited would be an understatement.
The opportunity to compete at Indianapolis is something every racer dreams about. The history, the prestige, and the incredible atmosphere make it one of the most famous racing facilities in the world, and we cannot wait to see Austin take on another track he's always wanted to race.
A huge thank you to the Revolution Cup organizers for working so quickly to find a solution and ensure we still have an incredible event to look forward to.
Daytona may be off the schedule, but Indianapolis is calling... and we can't wait to answer.
