Austin Riley Makes Stunning Revolution Cup North America Debut at Sebring

Sebring, Florida — Racing With Autism driver Austin Riley delivered an outstanding debut weekend in the Revolution Cup North America Series at the legendary Sebring International Raceway, scoring multiple podium finishes and demonstrating exceptional pace across dramatically changing conditions.

Competing in his first-ever weekend in the series and driving the team’s newly unveiled Revolution race car, Riley quickly proved he would be a contender at the front of the field.

Saturday featured two races under very different conditions.

In the first race of the day, Riley launched into an incredible start and surged into the overall lead heading into Turn One, even passing an Audi Le Mans–winning car. Although the higher-powered machine eventually regained the position, Riley and the Audi quickly pulled away from the rest of the field in a thrilling battle at the front. Riley ultimately crossed the line 2nd overall and 1st in class, an impressive result in his debut outing.

Conditions changed dramatically for Race Two, as a heavy downpour soaked the Sebring circuit. The race marked the first time Riley had ever driven the team’s new car in wet conditions. Despite the challenge, Riley once again delivered a superb performance, navigating the tricky conditions to finish 1st in class and 2nd overall for the second time that day.

Sunday’s final race of the weekend provided yet another dramatic chapter.

Starting 4th overall and 1st in class, Riley was caught in a tight battle through turns one and two on the opening lap and dropped back to fifth position. Refusing to settle, he quickly fought his way forward and was already back up to third overall within the opening laps.

As the race progressed, Riley built a strong gap over the higher horsepower cars behind him and appeared comfortably in control of the class lead. However, with just two laps remaining, his pace suddenly began to drop and the advantage he had built started to disappear.

Despite the issue, Riley managed to bring the car home 4th overall and 1st in class.

After returning to the pits, the cause became clear — Riley had driven the closing portion of the race with a deflating right-front tire, making the result even more impressive.

“To see Austin perform like that in his first weekend in the car and in the series was incredible,” said Jason Riley, founder of Racing With Autism. “Leading overall, racing in both dry and wet conditions, and still bringing home three class wins despite a tire issue shows exactly what he’s capable of.”

Riley, a multi-time champion and widely recognized as the first champion race car driver with autism, continues to inspire fans around the world with both his speed on track and his message of perseverance.

Motorsports has played a transformative role in Riley’s life, helping him overcome daily challenges associated with autism while providing a platform to demonstrate his extraordinary focus, determination, and talent.

The successful debut weekend at Sebring marks a strong start to the 2026 Revolution Cup North America season for Riley and the Racing With Autism team.

Racing With Autism continues to seek corporate partners and sponsors interested in supporting Austin’s racing career and helping expand the program’s mission of raising autism awareness through motorsport.

As Austin often says:
“Just because you have autism, it doesn’t mean you can’t do great things.”
