Austin Riley Honoured at Jay Nolan Community Services Autism Awareness Picnic in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California – Racing With Autism is proud to share that professional race car driver Austin Riley was the guest of honour at the annual Autism Awareness Picnic hosted by Jay Nolan Community Services in Los Angeles this past weekend.
The event welcomed approximately 400–500 attendees and brought together families, individuals, and advocates within the autism community for a day of connection, celebration, and inspiration. Under perfect California skies, Austin spent the day meeting families, signing autographs, and sharing his journey as a champion race car driver with autism.
Austin also delivered a heartfelt and inspiring speech, reinforcing his powerful message: “Just because you have autism, it doesn’t mean you can’t do great things.” His words resonated deeply with attendees, many of whom are navigating similar journeys.
A highlight of the afternoon came when Austin encouraged Edward Amey, CEO of Jay Nolan Community Services, to join him for a lighthearted moment—dancing to one of Austin’s favourite songs, “Dolla Wine.” The spontaneous moment brought laughter and energy to the crowd, perfectly capturing the spirit of the day.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Jay Nolan Community Services for making us feel like family from the moment we arrived,” said Jason Riley, Founder of Racing With Autism. “Their commitment to empowering individuals with autism aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are proud to call them partners.”
The visit further strengthens the growing partnership between Racing With Autism and Jay Nolan Community Services, a collaboration focused on inspiring individuals and families while continuing to break down barriers in motorsports and beyond.
As Racing With Autism continues its 2026 season in the Revolution Cup North America series, the team carries with them the energy and inspiration from Los Angeles. Austin will return to the track in the coming weeks at Road America, aiming to build on what has already been a remarkable start to the season.
